How to use this data system

Searching for data using the maps

Using and obtaining data through this system is straight forward. To find a site within a particular area of interest, navigate through the locality maps provided, then click on the station indicator to view available site reports. Alternatively, if the name or number of a particular site interest is known, it can be selected from the pull down menus.

Data for individual Sites can be accessed by either navigating through the locality maps and clicking on a Site or by selecting a Site Identifier from the drop-down lists. To view the Site Identifier for a Site on the map, roll the mouse slowly over the Site.

To print maps, select the Download map as PDF button on the map pages (the quality of these maps has been optimised for printing, rather than web display).

Site Report pages

The following types of information are available:

  • Reports - textual reports that can be viewed, printed or downloaded.
  • Plots - diagrams that can be viewed, printed or downloaded in WMF format.
  • Documents - includes site photos in JPG format and data files in CSV format.

The data provided in this system is produced from the HYDSYS system as ‘snap shot’ reports, which are only current at time of extraction. Refer to the date on the header of the plots and reports for date of data extraction. Current data may be available and can be requested by using the Request for Data option at the bottom of each Site Report page.

When accessing data from this system it is very important to be aware of issues that effect data quality and reliability. For more information on data accuracy please contact us..
